Yes, all Earl Grey tea has bergamot. However, some Earl Grey teas may have even the double amount of the usual bergamot, while others may have only a trace. Earl Grey can be made with white, green, oolong, black and pu’erh tea.

One story suggests it was created by accident when a container of tea and bergamot oranges were shipped together from Chinese diplomats to Earl Grey. The essence of the fruit was said to have been absorbed by the tea during transit.
What does bergamot taste like?
The bitter, floral and sweet flavor of the fruit blends perfectly with a bold black tea. Research has shown that bergamot has medicinal properties because of powerful anti oxidants present in it.
For almost 200 years, bergamot has been one of the most popular oils for scenting black tea leaves. In fact, even people who are not regular tea drinkers are likely to have tried bergamot tea at least once in their life. This oil is an essential ingredient of Earl Grey tea blends and had an enormous impact on the western tea culture.
The answer was if you are using the bark, just add one teaspoon of bark. To enhance the flavor of this tea add honey or fresh lemon juice into the tea. If you wish to add bergamot tea along with loose tea leaves, add a teaspoon of bergamot dried herb to one teaspoon of bergamot for one cup of tea.
Another answer was you can also make bergamot tea with loose tea leaves. For every cup (250 ml) of hot water, use one tablespoon (14 grams) of tea. Let it steep for 5 minutes, and strain it before drinking. You can make bergamot tea by steeping tea bags or loose tea in boiled water for 3–5 minutes. Strain before drinking.
Does bergamot tea have too much caffeine?
Although bergamot tea does not have too much caffeine in it, drinking too much can cause a tense and anxious mood. Just like coffee, you can get addicted to the caffeine in it.
